The sleeve they have is referred to as a speedy sleeve. Look for uneven wear where the seal rides. When you pull your tranny you can check for yourself. I really don't want to spend the money on that tool just for one job. ![]() One that has a sleeve and seal, and one that has no sleeve, but comes with an installation tool.įrom what I understand, the one that comes with the sleeve must be installed using a $300 specialty installation tool from Cummins. I found out that there are two different rear main seal kits from Cummins. I've never done the rear main on one of these motors before, so I've been doing some research to find out what all I'll need to do. Clutch is getting done, figured I'd do the rear main while I'm in there. ![]()
